Built on blocky unison rhythms stretched by frequent metric modulations, Elastic Pastel (2025) blends the qualities of elastic material and chalky pastels. The gestural harmony reminds one of pastel paintings as well - bright, vivid lines resulting from high pressure marks mixed with airy, blended mists of color resulting from light broad strokes and gentle circles made with smudgy fingers.
