Conjuring Zenith (2025) Program Notes

I first sketched this piece in 2022, in a post-Covid malaise, looking for direction.  I was focused on building music that resolves despite all the unresolved issues in the world I saw then, and still do today. Playing this piece on the organ setting of my keyboard felt empowering. I am very grateful I got to hear it on the real thing thanks to Yuanning Gao’s guidance.
